Meadowbrook Health Guarantee

The full balance must be paid in cleared funds before the puppy/dog is released to the Buyer. Deposits are non-refundable except as set out in the Refund Policy below.
Registration & Limited Rights (Companion Pet)
This puppy/dog is sold as a companion pet with limited registration rights unless otherwise noted in writing by the Seller. The Buyer does not have breeding rights and may not breed this puppy/dog without the Seller's prior written authorization.
The Buyer agrees to have the puppy/dog spayed or neutered by twelve (12) months of age (or as directed by their veterinarian) and to provide proof of alteration to the Seller upon request.
Unauthorized breeding, or failure to spay/neuter as required, voids this health guarantee and may result in additional remedies available to the Seller under applicable law.
#1_______ Buyer acknowledges this is a limited-rights / companion sale and agrees to spay or neuter as stated above.
General Health
The Seller guarantees that the puppy/dog is in good health at the time of sale and has received age-appropriate vaccinations and deworming. A health record from a licensed veterinarian accompanies this puppy/dog.
The Buyer agrees to have the puppy/dog examined by their own licensed veterinarian within seventy-two (72) hours of taking possession and to provide a copy of the examination to the Seller within seven (7) days. Failure to complete this requirement will void this health guarantee.
If the examining veterinarian finds the puppy/dog to have a life-threatening illness or a serious congenital defect, the Buyer must notify the Seller in writing within seven (7) days. Veterinary records and registration papers (if applicable) must be provided. The Seller reserves the right to confirm the diagnosis with a veterinarian of their choice before any refund or replacement is issued.
#2_______ Buyer acknowledges the 72-hour vet check requirement and understands the guarantee is voided without it.
Limitations
This guarantee does not cover common parasites or protozoans (including coccidia and giardia), which are considered treatable conditions. Worms and minor infections common in young animals are also excluded.
Conditions caused by stress, environmental change, diet change, travel, or routine veterinary procedures performed after the date of sale are not covered under this guarantee.
Genetic Warranty
This puppy/dog is guaranteed against debilitating, hereditary, or congenital defects (including but not limited to hip dysplasia of moderate to severe grade, hereditary cardiac disease, or disabling eye disease) until twenty-four (24) months of age.
If such a condition is diagnosed by a licensed veterinarian and confirmed by an appropriate specialist (such as OFA, PennHIP, a board-certified cardiologist, or a board-certified ophthalmologist), the Seller will provide a replacement puppy/dog of equal value from the next available litter. The original puppy/dog does not need to be returned, but proof of spay or neuter must be provided before a replacement is issued.
The Seller is not responsible for veterinary expenses, shipping, or transportation costs related to a warranty claim.
#3_______ Buyer understands the genetic warranty terms, the specialist-confirmation requirement, and the spay/neuter prerequisite for any replacement.
Voiding Conditions
This guarantee will be void if the puppy/dog:
  • Is bred, or is used for breeding, without the Seller's written consent.
  • Has not been spayed or neutered by twelve (12) months of age as required.
  • Is subjected to strenuous or repetitive exercise before one (1) year of age.
  • Is found to be overweight or not maintained on a quality diet.
  • Suffers illness or injury due to abuse, neglect, environmental factors, or trauma.
  • Has not received timely vaccinations, parasite prevention, or routine veterinary care.
Housing & Care
The Buyer agrees the puppy/dog will be housed indoors as a family companion, provided with quality nutrition, regular veterinary care, and preventative health measures. The dog will never be surrendered to a shelter, pound, rescue, or research facility.
If the Buyer is unable to keep the puppy/dog, the Seller must be notified. The Buyer agrees to return the puppy/dog to the Seller or rehome only with the Seller's prior written consent and with spay or neuter in place.
#4_______ Buyer agrees to the companion-home, spay/neuter, and no-shelter requirements.
Term of Warranty
This health guarantee applies only to the original Buyer. It is void if the puppy/dog is transferred to a new owner. The warranty also ends if the dog is bred or produces a litter, regardless of age.
Final Sale
All sales are final. puppies/dogs are not sold on a trial basis. The Buyer acknowledges that ownership of a dog is a long-term commitment and agrees to fulfill all obligations of care for the lifetime of the dog.
This agreement constitutes the entire understanding between the parties regarding the sale of this puppy/dog and supersedes any prior verbal or written representations.
